In order to support the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund and keep the Austin Gorilla Run affordable, we offer four registration options:

Normal Price $99.95
Returning Gorilla (you already have a suit) $50.00

Group Discounts 8+ people 10% off $89.95

Group Registration

For groups of 8 or more, each participant receives 10% off registration fees.

Group Pricing:

First Time Adult Gorilla = $89.95 ea.
Returning Adult Gorilla = $45.00 ea.

Group Registration Instructions:

Identify a “Silverback” team leader. He/she will be the representative for the team.
Once a group has 8 members, the “Silverback” needs to contact MGCF via phone (720-524-0272) or email saveagorilla[at]yahoo.com with your group name and list of members. The “Silverback” then receives a discount code to distribute to the group members.
Group members register individually at The Registration Page and enter the discount code during registration to receive 10% off. Please remember to enter your group name when asked “Are you part of a group?”

We highly encourage donations to help support the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund. The Fundraising Toolkit will provide resources to help you raise funds for this valuable cause, and the incentives are our way of saying thank you. We greatly appreciate all the effort and time you put into raising money!

Donations Support the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund

With your participation you help preserve the highly endangered Mountain Gorilla in the jungles of Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund has been dedicated to the preservation of the Mountain Gorilla ever since Dian Fossey, who studied gorillas for 18 years before her death, asked for help in 1985.

Pledge Incentives

We ask Austin Gorilla Run (AGR) participants to be the best they can be! Ask your family and friends to join the cause. The mountain gorillas need your help. We challenge you to help us raise more money than has ever been raised before for their conservation. When you give, you should receive; that’s why we offer many cool pledge incentives.

Group Fundraising Incentives:

Silverback Cruiser

Your group’s goal is to raise $3000. When you reach the $3000 goal, your team will be given one custom Silverback Cruiser bike.

The “Silverback” team leader determines who receives the custom bike. Groups may draw to determine the recipient or give the bike to the highest fundraiser—it’s up to each group to decide!

There are multiple ways to raise the funds.

Offline donations may be made by texting GORILLA to 85944 for a $10 donation, cash, or check made payable to MGCF. Keep track of all offline and text donations on the donation/pledge form from the Fundraising Toolkit.

Group Fundraising Instructions:
To create a team or team member fundraising page:

Go to http://www.active.com/donate/AustinGorillaRun2012 Click “become a fundraiser” and choose to “Create a Fundraising Team” or “Join a Fundraising Team”. Once a team is created, create a team-member fundraising page. Then follow the instructions to create and customize your fundraising page. Prizes:

Anybody can do this – you do not have to be a participant in the run!

Raise $50.00 (receive the Gorilla Run T-shirt or *NEW* a one pound bag of Silverback Rwanda Coffee)

Raise $125.00 (receive a Plush Silverback Gorilla and the Gorilla Run T-shirt)

Raise $250.00 (receive an Austin Gorilla Run fleece vest, a Plush Silverback Gorilla, and the Gorilla Run T-shirt).

Raise $500.00 (Your name will be entered into a drawing for a custom Silverback Mountain Bike – a minimum of 2 individuals must reach this fundraising level for the drawing to occur). What a great gift to receive for your efforts and also know that you help the MGCF to reach its goal. Good Luck!
